Chicago is going for the "we have a hell of a lot of buildings" approach. Smaller cities try to stick with a single building or iconic image. My globe from Rochester, NY, has a skyline that's pretty weak, screaming "come try our chesse sandwiches." But look how much is packed into Chicago. It must be a bustling city. I'm going again this summer and can't wait to see all these places.
Is the giant ferris wheel still there? Or was that for some 19th-century exposition?
